"Heartin Luther King Jr." For Black History Month, I created custom art pieces in remembrance of Chicago Change-makers that fought for social, political and economic change. The concept of “Black Heartstory Month'' curated a way to bring these historical figures to life through my unique HeArtworkByDOJO style. This piece honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The original picture is from March 21, 1965. where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., led between 3,000 and 8,000 marchers from the Edmund Pettus Bridge out of Selma all the way to Montgomery, Alabama. However, this piece shows the skyline of Chicago. Did you know that MLK moved to the Westside of Chicago? Yep right in the community of Lawnlade, with the idea in mind that if we get the economic model right in Chicago first, we can get it right anywhere in the world.
